James M. Woltmann, D.M.D. works with patients at Greater Long Island Dental to create a comprehensive, life-long dentistry plan, helping patients in any way possible to reach and maintain their ultimate dental health goals. Dr. Woltmann enjoys watching patients as their confidence grows after a cosmetic or restorative procedure. He is available to help patients in need even after hours.
I'm Dr. Woltmann. I'm originally from West Islip, New York. I'm currently
married to my wife Debbie for the past 14 years. We met back in high
school. So we've been dating for quite many years prior to that. We have
three children. My son Jimmy is 13. I have a daughter, Taylor, who's 10,
and my youngest daughter Alyssa is 7.
What's most satisfying to me about my work is my ability to help people to
reach their dental health goals. A lot of patients come to us a lot of
times with a lot of discomfort, a lot of cosmetic concerns, are unhappy
with their smile. It's affected their confidence. So it's really a great
profession in that we can really transform individuals' lives and have a
positive impact on them by helping them achieve their goals.
I think I've made a great impact on a lot of people's lives, and you can
just tell when the cases are complete and you see the look in their eyes
and they tear up and they well up and they really are overwhelmed with what
you can really do for them. And the best compliment we can get is when they
refer their family and friends to us to help them along in similar
situations that they had.
The biggest thing I like patients to know about myself as a dentist and as
a person is that I'm here to help in any possible way at any possible time.
You know, I give my name and my phone number out to my patients to call me
after hours. The last thing we want the patient to do is feel as if they
don't have somewhere they can turn to get the help that they need.
